Seeking a mission leader for Western Australia

Youth for Christ Australia is seeking a passionate and skilled Christian leader to drive and oversee the mission in Western Australia.

The size and remoteness of the state poses logistical challenges to effective mission. But with around 300,000 young people in the state, the vision is the same – that every young person be given an opportunity to become a follower of Jesus.

Over the past 18 months YFC has undergone a significant transition period, restructuring and refocusing on its core mission of youth evangelism. In Western Australia this has provided an opportunity to pause, reflect and pray. Acting State Director, Mike Albany, sees God’s hand in this process. “I believe it was God’s timing to strip away the things we had become comfortable with in order to breath new life into this movement,” he shares.

“I’m excited about the fruit we’re now seeing around the country and looking forward to what God has in store for WA. I feel like the next step is to find the person God is calling to lead the mission of Youth for Christ forward in Western Australia.”

Working at YFC is not a job but an opportunity for the right person to respond to a call of God on their life.

The successful applicant will behave with dedicated and dependent prayerfulness, with a surety of being called by God to the reach young people with the Gospel and with passion that is compelled by the love of Christ. They will have a calling on their life toward mission and building God’s Kingdom with a passion for youth ministry.
